The tale of Anatolian lands begins with “human being”. Laments for the dead people reverberate with the stories of nomadic tribes who inscribed their cults into gigantic stones in Göbeklitepe. In Çatalhöyük, prehistoric wall paintings whisper the stories of people who had lived in the first settlements. Stylish-embroidered standards belonging to Hittites keep the secret of war which played a role in the isolated lands of the Bronze Age. The wine glasses of Ancient Greece get us to watch the tales of Pagan gods and goddesses in the shade of the mythology. The Roman shipwrecks unearth the centuries before. Even a coin, which dropped out of anyone’s pocket at any moment of the time in Anatolia, tells us thousands of lives having existed in these lands. Anatolia keeps crafting the traces of the past civilizations which had lived in these lands into its culture, music, architecture and artworks.
Therefore, tracing people with thousands of years of story is so long and satisfying journey in Anatolia where hundreds of communities with many different beliefs come to life and gives chance to live for all living creatures in every region from the forest to the arid land. The story of every human being is hidden in each one of embroideries of their belongings, each of wall writings and each stone carving which they left behind. Understanding Anatolia is to understand people.

And traditions which these thousand-year stories were embroidered are currently breathing in these lands. Anatolian people are still crafting their bitter sweet memories into their weavings and the warmth of Southeastern Anatolia is still melting the metal. Every artefact which our Usta created meticulously and patiently hides behind their story. Usta tell us sometimes the story of their lifetime and sometimes the great story of the humanity.
