Gulls are the thirstiest for speaking up in this world. Without hesitation and getting a second one, they express what they want and burst into laughter toward the gulf. Gulls are as sincere as our potential humanity and as familiar as fellow councils. The writings in this media are the echoes of the gulls screaming by perching familiarly on the sill of Yazıhane. They tell the whole city. With its humans, animals, battle and wind…

These pages will pound the pavements of the city with a gentle fancy. It will mention both black and White with all their reality. Therefore, it will firstly begin to speak about human, who knows. Living like the songs in that world, devastating and creating human, you know…

Maybe our words are not as assertive as redbuds in İstanbul known as the proem of the spring. It isn’t also likely that our writings will keep up with the confused gulls. It is enough if these lines can be a refreshing breeze blowing in from ancient bazaars. A breath, a light or maybe a hello to the worker houses.

Our word will become brief, will our pen be explicit; our window will open to working and shining places in this media. We will write, produce and pronounce concerning culture, labor and craft. The journey beginning with human will continue with modes. We will hear ‘ferahfeza’, a mode in Classical Turkish Music, in the summer heat and will sense the hometown. Lines, sounds and images will reach out from bazaars to streets, Anatolia to İstanbul. Then the door will remain to be open to all. At the moment we are remembered, the moments you see and hear will flow into Yazıhane thanks to you. In brief, this media is a threshing field. Both our path and word are common and sincere. After all is said and done, everything is,

"For you, my fellow humans,

Everything is for you,

Nights are for you, days are for you;

Daylight is for you, moonlight is for you;

Leaves in the moonlight;

Wonder and wisdom in the leaves,

Myriad greens in daylight,

Yellow is for you, and pink.

The feel of the skin on the palm,

Its warmth,

Its softness,

The comfort of lying down;

For you are all the greetings

…”
