Waiting and the Night

In Anatolia, love happens at a snail’s pace, summer is as arid as a desert. The reason behind hiding the loved one in the darkness of nights is a tendency for a lover. It is the chance that for the lover that a gentle breeze somehow sweeps down to the window. Whatever that could not be told before, is whispered slowly through the breeze at that night.

“Leave your window open tonight, do not draw the curtain

Let the window carry to you

This song I wrote for you, this melody I made for you”

In Anatolia, love happens at a snail’s pace, summer is as arid as a desert. The reason behind hiding the loved one in the darkness of nights is a tendency for a lover. It is the chance that for the lover that a gentle breeze somehow sweeps down to the window. Whatever that could not be told before, is whispered slowly through the breeze at that night.

That is why Anatolia becomes a home for intense feelings and romantic melody. All break-in points come together as one, turn into a cold sore and re-birth as a tune in hejaz. A few mouthfuls of mumbling can bring unbearable hot winds. That is the reason why lovers choose to wait for love instead of being in love. Waiting for love from day to night, with sorrow and hope, as a tune of the harmony. This tune is an inspiration for both a songwriter and a lover sitting in front of that window. Lover waits, so does be loved. Breeze waits, so does the backyard and the window. Hejaz waits it too, with mumbling slowly just like revealing its feelings that are kept in darkness.
